MOTH Production Studios

Founded in 2014, MOTH Production Studios has undergone significant evolution while remaining steadfast in its mission to serve and entertain the community through the art of expression and imagination. Initially known as MOTH (Man Of The House), our organization began as a supportive haven for young men who were raised without a father or father figure. In this nurturing environment, participants engaged in a series of educational and enjoyable experiences, learning essential skills such as household management, auto maintenance, culinary arts, and personal presentation.

In December 2014, we proudly premiered our inaugural theater production, *Sins of A Father*. The following year marked a pivotal moment as MOTH began connecting with individuals passionate about acting, laying the groundwork for our community theater initiative. This project became a springboard for MOTH to fulfill its commitment to uplifting underserved communities by providing original, meaningful entertainment.

By 2016, we rebranded as MOTH Entertainment, extending our reach and enriching communities from Atlanta, GA to San Antonio, TX with the transformative power of theater arts. However, like many organizations, our operations were paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting us to reflect and strategize for the future.

As we navigated this challenging period, MOTH envisioned a bold new direction. On December 25, 2022, we emerged from our chrysalis stronger than ever, reintroducing ourselves to the world as MOTH Production Studios, now located in Hampton Roads, Virginia. 

Throughout our journey, MOTH has actively engaged in collaborations at the government, state, city, and local levels to foster community-based support. Our commitment remains unwavering: to empower individuals and inspire them to pursue their dreams. We believe that through the arts, we can make a lasting difference in our communities, paving the way for future generations.
